Localized reputation & capacity tracker

Participants in Metrics maintain a localized reputation and capacity score that fluctuates depending on their engagement and quality of action.

Reputation

This reputation token can be used to manage access to a variety of work streams as defined by Market Managers and utilized by Sponsors.

The rMETRIC balance of all participants decays over time. This means that inactive or unengaged participants may see their rMETRIC balance drop to zero.

rMETRIC balances are used to gate specific Challenge or Review opportunities to high reputation actors.

rMETRIC balances may be increased or slashed by participating in Challenges. MetricsDAO may also issue or slash rMETRIC.

Capacity

In addition to representing reputation, rMETRIC also enables network capacity approximation due to Signaling.

An individual's rMETRIC represents their ability to deliver on commitments they make. As these individuals accrue rMETRIC, they earn the trust of the network and its stakeholders – specifically Sponsors.

Individuals then leverage their reputation to take on more work. The process of Signaling locks a user's rMETRIC against a Challenge and therefore decreases their available rMETRIC. This rMETRIC is returned to the participant if they complete the work they committed to.
